I was raised in Savannah, Georgia, where I grew up watching my artist mother work. She loved coastal Georgia and the lakes of North Georgia, which were the subjects of many of her paintings. That upbringing, surrounded by Lowcountry beauty, still shapes everything I paint today.

I’m drawn again and again to the marshes and coastal scenes that mark this part of the world — the tall grasses, the shifting light on the water, the birds that call it home.

Painting feels like a way of paying attention to God’s creation, and of sharing that attention with others. Whether it’s a heron in the marsh, a garden in bloom, or the quiet stretch of a coastal horizon, my work is an offering of gratitude for the beauty around us.

I hope my paintings bring a little of that peace and wonder into your home.
